Overview
The World Climate Investment Summit 2025 (WCIS2025) is a leading global event bringing together those investors and finance providers who are accelerating climate and energy transition investments. Now in its fourth year, it deepens its partnership with LSEG, focusing on investment models, strategies, and frameworks that can deliver on the needs of market participants for green energy, climate solutions, and high-emission sector transitions.
Organised by LSEG and the World Climate Foundation in partnership with the Climate Investment Coalition, WCIS2025 plays a pivotal role in creating a forum for important discussions on climate finance, integrating nature-based solutions, and fostering public-private engagement. Its insights will shape discussions at New York Climate Week and COP30 in Belém, Brazil (November 2025).
Objectives
WCIS2025 provides investors with a roadmap for deploying capital effectively. Key focus areas:
Finance: Understanding the state of play with financial sector industry initiatives; capital deployment into clean energy, industrial decarbonisation and nature; and financial innovations (transition bonds, carbon markets, blended finance, sustainability-linked loans and thematic equity.).
Solutions: Investment in hard-to-abate sectors, nature-based solutions and emerging green technologies.
Policy: The engagement between capital markets actors with regulatory policymakers, bridging gaps and driving public-private partnerships.
Demand: Supporting emerging climate investment hubs, understanding how companies are investing within and beyond their supply chains and unlocking new markets to drive climate-positive growth.
