Who pays? Economic justice and the cost of a Just and Green transition

Online event

About this Event

This online panel, hosted by Oxfam, Christian Aid, and the Center for Economic and Social Rights as part of London Climate Action Week 2025, will explore the global inequalities shaping the green transition. While the shift to clean energy is urgent, it is often unfolding in ways that deepen injustice — with lower-income countries and frontline communities locked out of the benefits and bearing the brunt of climate impacts. The discussion will highlight the role of fair finance, debt reform, and structural economic change in ensuring a truly just transition, and examine how COP30 and global processes can advance these goals. Confirmed speakers include Jayati Ghosh and Rose Kobusinge.
