Webinar: Accelerating the Shift – Scaling Low-Carbon Transport Systems in Indonesia & Ghana

About this Event

The transport sector is among the largest and fastest-growing contributors to global greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for nearly a quarter of energy-related CO₂ emissions. In Indonesia and Ghana, the sector’s emissions are rising rapidly due to urbanization, increasing vehicle use, and infrastructure gaps—posing a major challenge to achieving national climate goals.

Both countries have made ambitious commitments under their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). However, to meet these targets, there is an urgent need to decarbonize transport by scaling sustainable, low-carbon mobility systems.

This webinar will explore the opportunities for transformation, as well as the key barriers to scaling—including limited access to finance, technology constraints, institutional fragmentation, and lack of integrated policy frameworks. It will also highlight how climate finance and carbon markets can play a catalytic role in unlocking solutions.
