UK Youth Methane Roundtable

Brussels Room Surveyors House 11-12 Great George Street, London SW1P 3AD

About this Event

The UK Youth Methane Roundtable is an opportunity for young people (17-30) across the UK to meet in person in order to discuss and launch a nationwide campaign demanding stronger action on methane emissions—a powerful but often underaddressed climate threat. Designed and led by young people, and supported by experts from Clean Air Task Force, the campaign will train a cohort of 20–30 youth advocates to engage directly with policymakers, mobilize public support, and hold major polluters accountable for their emissions. By leveraging student networks and grassroots organizing, the campaign ensures that youth voices shape UK methane policy, from lobbying Parliament to raising awareness on global standards like the EU’s methane regulations. Launching during London Climate Action Week (June 24, 2025), this effort puts young leaders at the forefront of the fight for stronger climate and air quality policies.
