About this Event

About the event: The topic of transition finance took center stage at COP28 and continues to be a hot topic at climate finance events. Hosted by RMI and UK Finance, this 90 minute event is the culmination of a year-long collaboration on the topic, featuring keynotes from leading experts and a panel of senior sustainability bankers sharing what they have learned about the opportunities, challenges, and frontiers of innovation in transition finance. The event will also serve as the launch for RMI’s Transition Finance Resource Hub, where practitioners can find case studies, how-to guides, and practical resources to help financial institutions turn transition finance ambition into action. This is an official side-event of the Climate Innovation Forum.

About the hosts: RMI is an independent nonprofit, founded in 1982 as Rocky Mountain Institute, that transforms global energy systems through market-driven solutions to align with a 1.5°C future and secure a clean, prosperous, zero-carbon future for all. UK Finance is a trade association for the UK banking and financial services sector, formed on 1 July 2017. It represents over 300 firms, and formulates policy for its members, advocates those policies with HM Government, regulators and the media, and supports industry collaboration in the interests of efficiency and better customer outcomes.
