The role of standards and assurance in scaling credible climate action

Climate Innovation Forum Guildhall 71 Basinghall St, London EC2V 7HH, United Kingdom

About this Event

The Global stocktake at COP29 was clear that we are not on track to keep temperatures below the 1.5 degrees aligned to the Paris agreement. One key reason is that it’s an enormous challenge creating governance for the net zero transition that works locally and aligns globally – but a powerful market mechanism that provides such market governance already exists, and can be leveraged to scale credibly climate action globally! Come and join the discussion at BSI and UKAS’s coffee reception event at 10:30am on 25th June to learn about and discuss how government-recognised standards and assurance bodies around the world can help deliver a credible and robust net zero transition.
