Join this round table discussion to discuss with experts and peers how Nature-based Solutions (NbS) / Natural Flood Management (NFM) must be widely adopted in asset management. Hosted by WSP as part of London Climate Week 2025.
WSP will facilitate an exciting and informative discussion on existing NbS/NFM solutions, their benefits, what barriers we currently face making it part of current delivery practice, policy change, and what medium we need to adopt a NbS/NFM approach. We will direct a variety of questions to our diverse attendees for an open discussion behind closed doors. Providing an opportunity to share knowledge and create a systems thinking collaboration for NbS/NFM within UK delivery.
WSP in the UK
In 2024 the Institute of Asset Management published a white-paper, titled 'Nature-based Solutions for Asset Management. With two WSP staff members playing a key role in leading this publication, this round table discussion marks the next step in bringing thinking to practical application. This collaborative discussion is to focus on what barriers (bottom-up and top-down) we currently face, how do we show successful evidence for the NbS/NFM vs economic argument. How to frame its application, and adoption through risk management practices, and how Asset Management can be better leveraged and to implement NbS/NFM solutions.
