About this Event

🗓️ About the session:

In this interactive session, we talk about how tech governance relates to the climate transition. Emerging technologies like advanced AI increasingly influence our climate futures. But we often overlook the policies and systems that guide such innovation. How can we then make sure these choices lead to fair and sustainable outcomes for all?

With countries like the UK and those in the EU working out their digital strategies alongside climate goals, getting these aligned is more important than ever. This session will explore how we can move towards thinking of fairness, innovation, and sustainability as interdependent goals – and how good governance can make this possible.

💡 Discussion themes will include:

– How today’s tech governance decisions may lock in future climate trajectories;

– What policy actions can align innovation, justice, and environmental goals;

– Where promising examples of such alignment are emerging – and where gaps remain;

– Who needs to be at the table – and who is currently missing?

Whether you’re deep into climate work, tech, public policy – or just curious about how these areas overlap – this session is a chance to explore big ideas together and get fresh takes at how inclusive, forward-thinking governance might be the missing link to bringing it all together.
