Whether you’re a local resident, student, staff member or just curious about new ways to think about sustainability and economics — this session is for you. Come ready to collaborate, imagine, and co-create a thriving future for Kingston and beyond.

Kingston University and London Doughnut Economy Coalition
Kingston University, located in southwest London, is a dynamic and inclusive institution known for its practical approach to education and strong community engagement. Kingston University operates an Environmental Management System to ensure efficient resource use and legal compliance, and it has achieved recognition through initiatives like the Green Impact Scheme and Fairtrade University status. The university actively promotes sustainable practices such as reducing emissions, conserving biodiversity, and encouraging ethical consumption. Sustainability is also a key part of student life, with events like Sustainability Week and various student-led projects fostering awareness and engagement. Through its annual sustainability reports, Kingston University transparently shares its progress and future goals, reinforcing its role as a leader in sustainable higher education.
The London Doughnut Economy Coalition is a group of volunteers who, inspired by Doughnut Economics, have come together to communicate a better vision for London’s economy, one that is inherently fair, green and also exciting! We argue that as one of the most influential and important cities in the world, London needs to be a leader in adopting better, fairer, and regenerative approaches to its economy.
