About this Event

Within our current polycrisis, it is now widely recognised that without significant resilience investment our mitigation efforts will be derailed and communities, especially those on the front lines, will face insurmountable climate impacts.

Resilience, a word that is easy to say, but harder to implement, scale and measure, is often viewed in the narrow context of risk mitigation. Increasingly, however, it is seen as a huge potential area for opportunity and growth, especially in the insurance sector.

This session will look at the transformative role the insurance industry is playing in building resilience to help drive transformation in partnership with communities on the ground.

Speakers:

Kathy Baughman Mcleod – Executive Director, Climate Resilience for All.

Ekhosuehi Iyahen – Secretary General, Insurance Development Forum (IDF).

Bijal Brahmbhatt – Director, Mahila Housing SEWA Trust (MHT).
