Love and Fear in a Warming World: A creative process for renewing hope and action around climate change
Online event
About this Event
Climate anxiety, sometimes called eco-anxiety, is an intense emotional response to the scope and impact of human-driven global warming. More than two-thirds of respondents to a global survey said that climate change negatively affects their daily life. Another survey revealed that climate anxiety is a growing barrier to meaningful climate action.
Love and Fear in a Warming World is an online workshop that offers missing link between how we feel about climate change and the action we take, using creative activities to take participants on a journey, as one participant put it, ‘from despair to hope.’ Participants in Love and Fear in a Warming World have described these outcomes:
– Reduced climate anxiety
– Renewed agency around climate action
– A greater sense of sharing the climate challenge
– Joy in working through creative activities
No preparation or experience is required to participate in Love and Fear in a Warming World, and we welcome participants from all backgrounds, all corners of the world, all interests. You will only need some paper and something to write with. This session is most appropriate for persons age 16 and older – anyone wishing to involve younger participants should contact greg@theclimateshift.com.
