Kingston University’s ECE PGR Conference 2025

55-59 Penrhyn Rd, Kingston upon Thames KT1 2EE

About this Event

TLDR-

Kingston University’s Engineering, Computing and the Environments (ECE) Postgraduate Research (PGR) Conference is proud to align with London Climate Action Week, a city-wide celebration of climate leadership and innovation. This event brings together our research community to share innovative ideas, promote collaboration, and celebrate the exceptional work being done across diverse fields.
With this year’s theme, “Sustainable Transformation,” the conference highlights the critical role of research in driving meaningful change. It invites Kingston University PGR students to present their contributions—through oral presentations and poster displays—towards tackling urgent environmental, technological, and societal challenges in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event will also feature keynote speakers from across London’s universities and industry, who will offer valuable perspectives on sustainability, innovation, and the evolving research landscape. We invite members of the public, professionals, students, and academics to attend this dynamic event. Join us for an opportunity to engage with innovative research, speak with the researchers, and learn about the exciting solutions being developed for a sustainable world. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with the next generation of researchers and be part of the global movement for climate action.

Summary of the conference event-

The ECE PGR Conference is a yearly celebration of the research being carried out by postgraduate students across the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Environment. The presentations (poster/oral) will be exclusive to PGR students at Kingston University. This is a great opportunity to attend the event to learn about the students’ research and network with our academic staff and students.

This year’s theme, “Sustainable Transformation,” invites you to reflect on how your research supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and contributes to a more sustainable future. Whether you’re just starting or approaching the end of your research journey, we’d love for you to be part of this exciting day.

Research presented at the conference spans a wide range of disciplines, all connected by a shared focus on sustainability, including:

Computer Science and Mathematics – exploring how digital technologies, AI, and data can drive smarter, more sustainable systems.
Engineering – focusing on innovations in energy, design, and technology that support low-carbon and sustainable futures.
Built Environment and Geography – addressing sustainable development through urban planning, environmental research, and spatial analysis.

We look forward to seeing and hearing about your research on Friday 27 June 2025.
