How are meat, dairy and rice companies tackling methane emissions?
Workspace® | Salisbury House 29 Finsbury Circus London EC2M 5SQ
About this Event
Nearly half of global methane emissions come from agriculture, particularly from beef and dairy production, as well as poultry, pork and rice cultivation. However, companies producing and trading these commodities are failing to disclose their methane footprint and set targets and strategies to reduce emissions. Investors and banks also fall short on tackling agricultural methane emissions. This session will explore Planet Tracker’s recent work estimating the methane footprint of major meat, dairy and rice companies, the effectiveness of current emissions reduction strategies and what needs to be done to reach the Global Methane Pledge target to cut global emissions by 30% by 2030.
Tracker Group
To mark London Climate Action Week 2025, Tracker Group will host a week-long series of investor breakfast roundtables at our Finsbury Circus offices. Each morning, we will spotlight a different theme from across our climate and nature research areas. Led by team heads and their analysts, these sessions are designed to foster engagement with a select group of investors on material topics.
Taking place from 8:30 to 9:30am each day, these roundtables offer a focused and insightful way to begin the day amidst the packed LCAW calendar.
