Toxic chemicals, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and microplastics, are becoming an alarming threat to human health. They have been linked to serious issues including cancer, hormone disruption, immune system problems, and developmental challenges. As awareness increases, so do litigation and regulatory risks for industries across the plastic value chain. Companies face rising liabilities, enforcement actions, and changing legal frameworks that require them to manage risks proactively. This session will explore study cases on health impacts, new regulations, litigation trends, and effective strategies to reduce financial and reputational risks.
