Hammersmith BID’s Climate Festival

Hammersmith BID is a not-for-profit organisation led and funded by local businesses, dedicated to improving Hammersmith as a place to live, work and visit. During London Climate Action Week, we will be hosting a Climate Festival on Lyric Square in support of environmentally friendly active travel and biodiversity.

Free bike maintenance and marking will be provided on Lyric Square, alongside e-bike and e-scooter exhibition stalls. Staff will be on hand to give out free helmets and raise awareness around how active travel can support climate action and a net-zero future.

We’ll also be joined on the square by Hammersmith’s resident beekeeper, who, alongside his observation hive will be bringing sample beekeeping equipment and lots of fun facts about bees. To further support our commitment to Hammersmith’s biodiversity and our intention to mobilise the whole of society to participate in Climate Action through education, we will also be running wildflower planting and bird seed pick ‘n’ mix workshops.
