Global Landscape of Climate Finance 2025

About this Event

In light of the global community’s call—most recently echoed in the conclusions around the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG)—to scale climate finance to developing countries to at least USD 1.3 trillion per year, there is an urgent need not only to mobilize more resources, but also to ensure they are aligned, trackable, and effective.

This event will contribute to that momentum by bringing together the collective knowledge and solutions of the climate finance community to focus on near-term opportunities that support just, inclusive, and impactful transitions across both mitigation and adaptation.

The event will also mark the launch of Climate Policy Initiative’s (CPI) Global Landscape of Climate Finance 2025, which provides an in-depth analysis of the scale, distribution, and direction of climate finance globally—highlighting progress, gaps, and opportunities, particularly for adaptation and in vulnerable regions.

This year’s report features updated numbers and expanded insights into both public and private financial flows. By releasing the findings earlier in the year, CPI aims to inform and catalyze discussions ahead of major global milestones, including the G20 Summit in Johannesburg and COP30 in Belém—each expected to focus on practical solutions to improve the quality and quantity of climate finance.

This in-person launch event in London will convene a select group of policymakers, investors, and climate finance leaders who share a sense of urgency and commitment to making finance more effective in addressing the climate crisis.
