Frontiers in methane emissions abatement

The event is near Piccadilly in London. The location will be communicated upon registration.

About this Event

Join RMI and the Harvard Initiative on Reducing Global Methane Emissions for a panel conversation and light refreshments during London Climate Action Week to address recent developments in the detection, attribution, reduction and corporate action on methane emissions.

Reduction in emissions of methane – a powerful greenhouse gas – can, in the near term, significantly reduce the how fast the climate changes – giving the world time to “bend the curve” on CO2 emissions and implement longer-term strategies to mitigate and adapt to climate change. Panelists include: Deborah Gordon, Senior Principal – Methane Expert, Oil and Gas Solutions Initiative, RMI; Daniel Jacob, Professor of Atmospheric Chemistry and Environmental Engineering, Harvard University; Robert Stavins, Professor of Energy and Economic Development, Harvard Kennedy School.

Space is limited, and all attendees, including all members of the media, must register for the event. Once we reach capacity, interested participants will be put on a waiting list and cleared as space becomes available.

Coffee and light refreshments will be available before the event from 14:00 – 14:30 and immediately following the event.
