From land to the table: reimagining the future of food production for a sustainable future

Coal Drops Yard, 79-81 Coal Drops Yard, King's Cross, London N1C 4DQ

About this Event

Food systems — from production to consumption — are responsible for over one-third of global anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions. Yet, recent experiences show that food can also be a powerful ally in climate action and in building a sustainable future, particularly when regenerative practices are adapted to local contexts. Food production has the potential not only to mitigate environmental impacts but also to drive new economies that value standing forests, traditional knowledge held by local communities, and the cultural elements that shape a nation’s identity.

Given this opportunity, it is essential for the public and private sectors, along with civil society, to work in an integrated manner to transform food systems. This panel will explore the current stage of this transition, present real-world case studies, and discuss the pathways needed to promote a fairer, more resilient, and regenerative food model.

This is an invitation-only event.  Please contact internacionalclima@arapyau.org.br for more information.
