Forests, food and the future: Spotlight on Guatemala
Brown Rudnick Auditorium, 8 Clifford St, London W1S 2LQ
About this Event
Join us for an evening exploring the critical links between forests, agriculture, and the future of our planet, with a special focus on Guatemala’s Selva Maya.
Kicking off with welcome drinks, this event brings together leading voices in conservation and sustainable development. Hear from Santiago Gowland (Rainforest Alliance), Tim Rayden (WCS/Trillion Trees), and Jolene Tan (Global Canopy), followed by a panel moderated by Jemima Prior.
Discover how the Rainforest Alliance is building thriving landscapes through regenerative agriculture, how Global Canopy is using data to tackle deforestation in commodity supply chains, and how Trillion Trees is restoring forest ecosystems impacted by cattle ranching and illegal activity in Guatemala’s Maya Biosphere Reserve.
Co-hosted by: The Global Returns Project, Rainforest Alliance, Global Canopy, Trillion Trees
The Global Returns Project (GRP) is a UK-registered charity which makes high-impact climate philanthropy easy for individuals and corporations. We are dedicated to addressing the critical underfunding of climate mitigation efforts, which currently receive less than 2% of global philanthropic contributions.
We carefully select and assess the world's most effective climate and nature charities (including Rainforest Alliance, Global Canopy, Trillion Trees) using a proprietary methodology developed by our team of world-class climate scientists. Donations come to us, we distribute them equally to our portfolio of charities without deductions (there is no min or max donation amount). This rigorous process ensures that our curated portfolio comprises only the highest-impact organisations driving real environmental change.
