demand proven performance. They build on the UK Passivhaus Awards’ data-driven approach and the ASBP Awards’ focus on embodied carbon and healthy buildings—aligning with the Sustainable Development Foundation’s holistic high-performance sustainability indicators.
From retrofit revolutions, next-gen materials, and initiatives driving systematic change across the UK. Each category features three exceptional finalists who have shown what’s possible when people focused climate action and good design collide.

Passivhaus Trust, Alliance for Sustainable Building Products, Sustainable Development Foundation
The Passivhaus Trust is an independent, non-profit organisation that provides leadership in the UK for the adoption of the Passivhaus standard and methodology. Passivhaus is an international low energy design standard. It is a tried & tested solution that enables a meaningful transition to net-zero now. Thousands of buildings have been designed, built and tested to this standard worldwide. The Trust promotes Passivhaus as a robust way of providing high standards of occupant comfort and health AND busting energy bills and cutting carbon emissions from buildings in the UK.
The Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP) is a non-profit, mission driven organisation, with an ever-growing membership alliance of forward-thinking companies and institutions from across the built environment sector. Our mission is to lead the transformation to a healthy low carbon built environment by championing the understanding and use of demonstrably sustainable building products.
The Sustainable Development Foundation aims to drive the property and construction industry towards exemplary sustainability practices. In order to achieve this, the SDF has two main roles: as a Think Tank and as part of an Alliance.
