Embedding climate risk into legal practice

Ashurst Fruit & Wool Exchange, 1 Duval Square, London E1 6PW

About this Event

In-person climate risk hackathon for lawyers to create practical tools

This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with peers across firms, in-house teams and legal specialisms to identify the climate risks facing your clients. Together, you’ll co-create practical tools that embed climate considerations into legal strategy, advice and deal-making. Join us for the hackathon, the drinks reception – or both!

The Chancery Lane Project

The nonprofit is the largest global network of lawyers and business leaders using the power of climate clauses in contracts to deliver fast and fair decarbonisation. It publishes climate clauses for international attorneys and businesses to use copyright-free in their contracts to cut greenhouse gas emissions. TCLP has published more than 140 climate clauses by working collaboratively with 3,600 professionals across 113 countries. Our climate clauses are written and quality assured by legal, commercial and sector specialists working pro bono to provide high-quality, commercially viable contractual solutions to climate problems. Each clause is named after a child to honour the future generations who will benefit from contracting for climate to protect the planet.
