Community Energy Now! Powering Up West London, hosted by Hammersmith and Fulham Community Energy
During London Climate Action Week, join us to connect with community energy groups from across West London. We’ll be sharing the climate and energy initiatives driving change in our communities, offering opportunities for networking, and looking towards a greener future.
The past few years have seen community energy activity grow at pace in London with an increasing number of projects delivered by a growing number of groups and practitioners. The sector has been supported by the Mayor through the London Community Energy Fund (LCEF) alongside a number of boroughs who have established their own Community Energy Funds (CEFs).
Community Energy London (CEL) has published an ambition for 1,000 projects across the city by 2030, a target that has been adopted by the Mayor’s Community Energy Task Force and CEL is now actively working with boroughs through the London Councils’ Community Energy Working Group (CEWG).

Community Energy London, Hammersmith and Fulham Community Energy
Community Energy London is a non-profit membership organisation that supports community energy groups across London through sharing knowledge and best practice and working with local authorities to promote the growth of sector.
Repowering London worked with Hammersmith and Fulham residents to establish the borough’s first community energy group, Hammersmith & Fulham Community Energy (HFCE). In 2024 they installed 270 solar panels on local school's roof with 120kWp of solar capacity and potential savings on energy of £2,000 per year. Their first community share offer will be opening soon.
