Rachel Kyte, UK Special Representative for Climate, will open the Climate Investing Hackathon – Pitching showcase. Competing teams from leading financial institutions will then take the stage to pitch their innovative climate finance solutions to our panel of expert judges.

The Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) is bringing together teams from leading City of London finance institutions to devise innovative mechanisms for financing climate solutions at scale at the CFA Climate Investing Hackathon.  

Hosted by the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero, in collaboration with the City of London Corporation, the Hackathon will see teams compete in a 24-hour challenge to unlock investment for real-economy climate businesses in emerging markets, before pitching their solutions to an expert panel of judges at the pitching showcase.

Herbert Smith Freehills LLP are kindly hosting the event at Exchange House, Primrose St, London, EC2A 2EG, from 1.30pm – 3.45pm, on Tuesday 17th June, followed by networking and drinks.

About the Climate Finance Accelerator
The CFA builds pipelines of bankable climate businesses in emerging markets. Since 2020, the CFA has worked with 240+ companies in ten countries, with sectors including renewables, agriculture, e-mobility, waste & circular economy, water, real estate and manufacturing. To date, businesses supported by the CFA have accessed over $400m of investment through 50+ deals.
