About this Event

By 2030 as London transitions to net zero, green jobs in the capital could surge to more than half a million. Are London’s young people ready to take advantage of this? With employers facing a major skills / jobs mismatch and struggling to find qualified workers, how can today’s youth prepare for the skills and careers needed to solve the climate and nature crises? How can a better fit be found between technical, vocational and academic career pathways? Can we expect a new green careers strategy for young people from the new government? And can we have a transition that leaves no young person behind?

Join Malini Mehra and Martin Crabbe, co-chairs of London Climate Action Week’s education & skills group, in conversation with young people, education providers, business and government leaders to explore the changing world of work for today’s school leavers & young people not in education or employment.

The session has been designed to welcome London’s Sixth Formers to Reset Connect. Providing an opportunity to engage with and be inspired by the 100s of start-ups and young entrepreneurs creating the new green economy. Please contact <secretariat@globelegislators.org> to register your Sixth Form group to enable access to the Reset Connect at ExCel London by Tuesday 25 June 2024.
