Building a culture for sustainability in your school

online event

About this Event

Hosted by Lets Go Zero this webinar will focus on how you can build a culture for sustainability in your school.

We will hear from Francis Hayland, Eco-Schools, who will tell you about all the free resources they have available for school staff and students on getting started for sustainability in your school. Alongside other brilliant ideas and actions you can do to progress on your sustainability journey and even achieve your green flag award!

We will then hear from two school representatives from St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust and Hollinswood Primary School about what they have been doing in their respective schools, from setting up Eco clubs for the first time, to getting staff on board.

There will be time for you to ask the team questions so please register to attend.

Led by Ashden, a climate solutions charity, LetsGoZero brings together UK schools, local authorities and other key players working together to address climate challenges at the local level. The campaign supports schools to set zero carbon targets, develop roadmaps for delivery, and share their learnings with staff, students and families. It also calls for national government to support this mission through finance, policy and regulation, helping build school capacity and agency, and harness the enthusiasm of the student population.

Let’s Go Zero (Ashden) want our events to be inclusive and accessible for everyone. We aim to meet all access requests if possible, including but not limited to; recordings, transcripts and other communication support; providing documents in alternative print formats, and ensuring there is a quiet room available for in-person events. Please contact suzanne.gibbon@ashden.org to discuss any access requirements.
