Britain Talks Climate: What Londoners think about climate change
About this Event
What do people in London think and feel about climate policy right now? Are there big differences between how people in cities think about climate action, compared to the rest of Britain? And how do we involve and engage city-dwellers when we talk about climate change?
In the run up to the next General Election, Climate Outreach and More in Common have carried out new research exploring people’s feelings and concerns around climate issues and policy.
Join us for this webinar, during London Climate Action Week, taking a special look at what the data tells us about views on climate change and climate policy in London, as well as city vs rural perspectives.
This webinar builds from our refreshed Britain Talks Climate toolkit. The toolkit exists to help us better understand and engage with people’s priorities, questions and concerns. It helps us tell clearer, more compelling climate stories that resonate with people of different values and backgrounds.
Speakers and panelists:
- Introduction from Henry Hall, Principle Policy Officer, Climate Mitigation – Greater London Authority
- Chris Pollard, Senior Researcher, Climate Outreach (chair)
- Emma James, Researcher, Climate Outreach
- Nameerah Hameed, Advocacy Manager, Climate Outreach
With thanks to the European Climate Foundation who funded this research.
At Climate Outreach we help people and organisations tell a different climate story. From one of a lost cause to a story of people, progress and potential.
