At A Crossroads: Pathways To A Net Zero Future

The Conduit, 6 Langley Street, London WC2H 9JA
In-person Delivering net zero and resilient London & UK By registration Energy Innovation and Technology

About this Event

Five years ago, on 27th June 2019, the UK became the first G7 country to make the commitment of signing net zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2050 into law.

Since then, 93% of global GDP has committed to a net zero target, with countries also pledging to treble renewable energy and halve their emissions by 2030. In the UK, further commitments have been made to create a net zero grid by 2035.

‘At A Crossroads’ is the product of eleven roundtable engagement sessions of the Mission Zero Coalition and builds on the recommendations of the Net Zero Review, Mission Zero, that set out four missions for grid and infrastructure, wind, solar and nuclear power.

Speakers:

  • Chris Skidmore OBE, Former Energy Minister who signed the UK’s Net Zero by 2025 into law in 2019
  • Dan McGrail, Chief Executive at RenewableUK
